Distribution of cases by indication of blood transfusion in caesarean section showed placenta prae-via in 90 patients (56.0%), pre-eclampsia in 12 pati-ents (7.5%), previous caesarean section in 24 patients (15.0%) and obstructed labour in 34 patients (21.0%).
