In order to meet the health needs of the population, the principle challenge faced by the majority if healthcare systems in the world is the growing disparity between needs and resources; there is an opportunity cost incurred with every decision made about resource allocation – one method of tackling this situation is through the application of <em>value based healthcare</em>.</p> ER -
